History of Apple iOS 

Apple launched the mobile operating system "iPhone runs OSX" for iPhone devices at MAC world conference and Expo in January 2007 and this phone released for user in June 2007 and sold up to 1Million iPhone. In march 2008, Apple unveiled "beta" which which runs on iPhone Os operating system and also released the iPod touch (non communication ability of iPhone. 

Apple launched the new device named ipad which has web browser, reading eBook, facilities and also have a large Display than iPod and iPhone.
Apple renamed their mobile operating system iPhone Os as " iOS "  name from Cisco. In 2010, Apple announced a free facility of software update to iPod touch users at WWDC 2010. The latest version of apple OS is ios7 is most runs in iPhone 4,  iPhone 4s,  iPhone 5, iPad2,3,4 , iPod mini and iPod Touch of 5th generation.

Apple Mobile Operating System

Apple released iOS mobile OS for its iPod touch, iPad,  iPhone and Television ios operating system was renamed as iPhone OS in 2010 with new features like imessage, voice recognition etc. Recently up to 9 lac application of ios out of which 4 lac application intransitive fir iPad. These applications downloaded by user up to 50 billion times. 65% mobiles including iPod touch and iPod pad have web browser facility in 2012. ios operating system is based on user interface direct manipulation, touchscreen, zoom any object by using pinch, screen rotation as Portrait and landscape mode by shaking the device. ios name derived from OSX operating system which is used on apple computer .

The ios four layer abridgement named as core service layer, the media layer, the core OS layer and cocoa touch layer. The mobile OS recently launched new feature home screen. All applications are open on screen by tabbing on app icon and status bar on top of screen which hold battery, time, mobile operator signals and Bluetooth icon.

The application runs in apple operating system are manufactured or prepared by itself these apps are called iTunes.The third party had not license to install their application in Apple devices.

Jail breaking is new function added by apple to install third party application User use jail break for File system access, installing devices themes etc. Due to jail breaking in some apple devices user has a option to install alternative operating system.  

The U.S copyright permits to EFF (electronic frontier foundation ) for free the general forbid on besiege on copyright systems. The copyright system is allowed in digital millennium copyright Act. This allows the user to legally acquired applications for iPhone. An unlocking iPhone exempted from DMCA's unlocking means using iPhone with any carrier like CDMA and GSM.

The security and privacy is also strongest feature of OS. The security is maintain by using different type of password like screen lock with password. It holds media features like camera, music, weather, videos podcast, FM Radio etc. Other features are Emails, contact list, receiving and sending message either sms or mms, reminder, calender, memo, creation and deletion file and folder, install, moving and uninstall of application etc. Notifications Shown on the top in status bar which notify any new updates, receiving and sending of file and sms, downloading status etc.

The Kernels of ios is based on Darwin Os iPhone OS 3.13 used Darwin 9.0.0d1. iOS4 , iOS5 , iOS6 and iOS7 are based on Darwin 10.0.0, 11.0.0, 12.0.0, 13.0.0, 14.0.0 kernel respectively. Apple also released new models with new operating in the market.
